Dragging America Down, Navy Recruiting Stunt Backfires

China and Russia have been preparing for war and building their armed forces for years. For more than a decade however, America’s military has gone woke and all four branches are facing recruiting shortages.

What did the U.S. Navy do? They have a drag queen as a digital ambassador, of course. Some critics suggest the weakening of the military is an intentional part of a larger agenda by the left to drag America down to socialism. Pun intended.

Is this a purposeful attempt to sabotage the armed forces, national defense, and therefore, the nation? Most likely.

But the controversial and desperate move may be backfiring. This in the wake of every U.S. military branch falling short of recruiting goals for the second straight year.

So Navy brass thought Joshua Kelley, an active-duty sailor who identifies as non-binary and performs by the name of “Harpy Daniels,” would be just the ticket to draw new recruits. What could go wrong?

This Pentagon-approved wokeness may be comparable to popular social media influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, the female imposter endorsed by Bud Light. This has led to a more than 17% dive in sales. We might say Anheuser Busch saw what the Navy had been doing since November of 2022 and literally said, “Hold my beer.”

Plummeting Bud Light sales and its marketing catastrophe is a joke to American citizens. A weakened military, however, and sailors jumping the proverbial Navy ship is a major national security concern.

According to American Family Network (AFN), the Navy is facing much worse problems than declining sales of watered-down beer.

Tabletop exercises imagining war with China in the Taiwan Straits have ended with nightmare scenarios. In more than one scenario, the U.S. Navy loses two aircraft carriers, and the 10,000 sailors on them, to the People’s Liberation Army.

Under the Biden Democrats, the Navy lectured sailors last year about proper pronoun usage as public confidence in the U.S. military dropped to 48% according to the Ronald Reagan Institute. That’s down from 70% in 2018 during the Trump administration.

What did people cite as the primary reason for the decline? A politicized military.

The Army also missed its recruiting goal last year by 15,000. For those keeping score at home, that’s 25% short of its recruitment goal.

Dan Crenshaw, Texas Representative, retired Navy lieutenant commander, and former Navy SEAL questioned the current direction of the military and suggested China and Russia are watching us closely. In an Instagram post, Crenshaw shared photos of Joshua Kelley in his naval uniform and also in drag. Crenshaw states:

“Did we learn nothing from Bud Light? Obviously the Navy didn’t.”

Crenshaw added that the U.S. cannot afford to “suffer in military readiness for the sake of pushing the left’s woke narrative.”

How can people not think that “military readiness” doesn’t seem to be a priority. So how about the opportunistic queen himself?

A story about Kelley was published at MilitaryTimes.com entitled, “Sailor by day, performer by night — meet the Navy’s drag queen, ‘Harpy Daniels.’ He said,

“I never knew a man could embrace his femininity in a creative and entertaining way like that, and I knew it’s what I wanted to do,” the sailor said. “Doing drag allows me to embrace my feminine side and allows me to bring my diversity and creativity out.”

Just what the military needs, men who embrace their feminine side. For some reason, that news release no longer appears at the Navy’s official website.

Another Veteran, Graham Allen, a conservative commentator, criticized Kelley and the drag videos saying,

“This is not the same military I served under… Our enemies LAUGH at us; he continued, “We stormed the beaches of Normandy. Raised the flag in Iwo Jima. Eliminated Osama Bin Laden. Now we are known for this…”

Just last week, Kelley responded to Graham and other critics by playing the martyr and claiming the military is “the largest diverse, and adaptable organization in the US.” He defended his position stating:

“You only want to support the military when it benefits you and doesn’t involve queer people. … Well, as a service member, a queen, and an open queer person, you don’t scare me and you won’t stop the LGBTQ+ community [from] thriving,”

No one’s trying to scare or intimidate you, sir. The problem is whether or not your behavior is appropriate. You’re on the Navy’s dime and they are losing respect and credibility.

Robert O’Neill, a Navy SEAL who helped kill Osama bin Laden in 2011 is fuming over the fiasco. He tweeted:

“Alright. The U.S. Navy is now using an enlisted sailor Drag Queen as a recruiter. I’m done. China is going to destroy us. YOU GOT THIS NAVY. I can’t believe I fought for this bulls__t.”

O’Neill delivered the fatal blow to bin Laden during the raid in Pakistan and he has since published two books since leaving the military in 2014.

Let’s just mention comments from one more Veteran. Matthew Lohmeier, former commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron in Colorado, was fired in 2021 for criticizing Marxism. He states:

“These days, the American people see this and think this has become our military. And so first and foremost, I think it’s important that I should say… thank you to the good men and women who nobly serve our country in uniform every day of their lives – because they show up believing in the greatness of the American ideal, and because they’re willing to lay their life on the line in defense of this country,”

Agreed. We know this direction under the Biden administration is likely not supported by most in our military and yet, the strength or in this case, weakness of a nation often reflects its leadership.

The U.S. military has in fact hosted numerous drag queen events for children – on military bases. These include drag queen story hour, “bouncy houses,” face painting, and “goodie-bags.” There has been some public backlash, but it is uncertain whether it has made a dent in delusional policies as one military base’s spokesman called gender-bending events “essential” to military morale and readiness.

Host of Washington Watch, Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins stated:

“It is absolutely important that our military focus on its mission, and that is fighting and winning wars, not promoting drag queen story hours and the rest of this woke agenda,”

It’s sad this clown-show garbage makes the news rather than countless examples of courage in the military. It’s a ridiculous distraction. And that’s the point. Secular progressive ideologues are pushing perversion and wokus pocus – while America’s enemies are watching, and likely making strategic plans. This may not end well.

The agenda to grind America down, destroy institutions, and dismantle morality may be exactly what they planned all along. It’s not surprising for those of us who pay attention, but just sad to see it being rolled out in our day and on our watch.
