Rape and Death Threats for Being Pro-Life? How Intolerant.

Author, PJ Media contributor, Fox News guest, and commentator for the Federalist, Denise McAllister and her family are in fear for their lives after receiving threats of rape and murder because of her pro-life stance and comments on Twitter. Why does it seem liberals who preach tolerance are often the same ones to come unhinged?

McAllister said she and her family are now under police protection and she is taking a break from social media. McAllister explained:

“I am facing legit death & rape threats because I have dared to call out women who are hysterical about abortion and to challenge them to be responsible and not to elevate sex to the point that they’re willing to kill human life to avoid their responsibilities,”

Messages about sexual purity, responsibility, or (gasp!) abstinence are just not what liberals want to hear these days.

So the godless can “shout their abortion” and push sexual experimentation and promiscuity all day long. But why the irrational hatred of pro-life opposition?

Because modern child sacrifice, also known as abortion, has become a Sacrament to the Democrat Party and a dividing line in America. And you better not threaten the billion dollar cash cow of big abortion business or talk about defunding Planned Parenthood.

Radical feminist, Gloria Steinem recently claimed this issue is “the basis of democracy, that you control your own body,” referring to the Supreme Court’s Roe V Wade decision in 1973. She’s right about the importance of controlling one’s own body, but isn’t it interesting few people make the connection that abortion is actually about controlling another person’s body – and snuffing out his or her life in the womb.

How do you explain the fact when a pregnant woman is murdered and the baby in her womb also dies, the killer is convicted of double homicide?

Author and radio host, Peter Heck puts it this way:

“Is it anything but society’s moral confusion that says if you hold an infant’s head inside the birth canal while inserting scissors and suction tips to extract its brain, you are completing a ‘legitimate medical procedure,’ but doing the same thing with the infant’s head outside the canal is first-degree murder?”

Denise McAllister is right – and I admire her for telling it like it is. Yes, just like the 1960s, men are also responsible to have some self-restraint – it takes two – but women should show some self-respect. In a Tweet that triggered the left, McAllister stated:

“At the root of abortion hysteria is women’s unhinged desire for irresponsible sex. Sex is their god. Abortion is their sacrament. It’s abhorrent as women have flung themselves from the heights of being the world’s civilized force to the muck and mire of dehumanizing depravity.”

As a result of her provocative, but truthful statements, rape and death threats were sent to her, even saying they know where she lives. McAllister and her family are on home watch by the police.

And when it comes to recent women’s movements, they have shown their true colors to the point of often excluding Christian and conservative women who are pro-life. There is a glaring double standard in many cases as to how women are treated!

Just ask Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, or Laura Ingraham. Or how about the Activist Mommy, Elizabeth Johnston who was threatened on Facebook when someone posted:

“I will find Activist Mommy and burn whoever runs it alive.”

When she reported the threat to Facebook, she was told it did not violate community standards. I wonder if Ashley Judd, Katy Perry, (another lib celebrity?) or Chelsea Clinton would have received the same nonresponse.

The intolerance affects free speech on college campuses as well. Students for Life has documented over fifty incidents of vandalism so far against its pro-life student groups in more than twenty states. They even have an interactive map displaying places where vandalism by abortion activists took place.

So much for respectful dialogue and debate over issues. Threats and acts of violence are disturbing enough; they should be renounced and taken seriously. But the hypocrisy and double standards must also be called out.
