Gosnell Trial Proves Massive Media Malpractice

Did you ever think the media in America would get to the point where details, facts, and news about one of the most horrific killing sprees in recent history would be covered-up, minimized, or omitted altogether?

Here are just a few of the disturbing facts about Gosnell and his killing clinic:

    • The remains of 45 babies were found by authorities at the Philly clinic.
    • Gosnell preyed mostly on poor and minority women.
    • Flea-ridden cats defecated freely, including in procedure rooms.
    • One 41 year-old victim of a botched abortion, Karnamaya Mongar died because the clinic was so crammed with junk, it took paramedics 20 minutes just to find their way out.
    • Gosnell collected baby feet in jars.

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell has cemented forever the fact that the pro-choice media has chosen ideology and politics over journalism and doing their job.

By now, most Americans have witnessed the media’s blatant disregard for the truth. Many liberals in the media even admit they didn’t want to report on the Gosnell horror story because they felt it would hinder progress for abortion rights. It’s been well established, documented, and proven that the majority of both local and elite media have a liberal, progressive worldview.

This is not exactly a newsflash. Earlier this year, I began a series on media bias and began with research showing their complete lack of fair reporting on the abortion issue:

Approximately 83% of Americans feel abortion should have some restrictions placed on it by law, but only 3% of media elites do. Translation: the media often believe or support the exact opposite of the majority of citizens to whom they report the news.

We should now take it a step further and look at the primary reasons for their bias. Journalism’s first obligation is to tell the truth and its first loyalty is to citizens. The fact is the media is not interested in the whole truth if it doesn’t fit their narrative, and their loyalty and allegiance is to their political party, not to the people they supposedly serve and inform.

Most mainstream media outlets are operated by pro-choice liberals and a so-called ‘journalist’ is surrounded by coworkers that are loyal to the left. In addition, most would rather obey their liberal bosses instead of report the news fairly and honestly.

As children progress though government-controlled public schools, most get plenty of indoctrination from teachers who are loyal to their union, the government, and the Democratic Party. Naturally, kids end up repeating liberal talking points even if they don’t know why they believe what they say they believe.

Due to heavy influence and pressure from peers, culture, and those in authority, most of these young people end up supporting abortion. For those who choose journalism and go to college, they receive one-sided instruction from progressive professors. As a result, when they graduate from college and get a job in the news industry, they’ve been converted.

How do you suppose they’d report on the issue of Life when prominent Democratic politicians oppose most restrictions on late-term abortions? Do you think a young news reporter would want to admit the radical abortion views of their hero and president, Barack Obama, who once fought a law that would have protected babies delivered alive during an abortion attempt?

It’s not complicated.

With the truth about the Gosnell clinic finally being exposed, we see the media with their collective pants around their ankles.

They’d naturally hide the fact that during the trial, a former Gosnell assistant, Stephen Massof – who does not even have a medical license – described how he jabbed medical scissors into the backs of babies’ necks or snipped their spinal cords to kill them. Calling it a “beheading,” Massof stated, “It is separating the brain from the body.”

They’d obviously refuse to report that a young woman who worked at the Gosnell clinic as a teenager testified that she saw a baby’s chest continue to move even after the gruesome snipping procedure Gosnell used to end the baby’s life.

It should not take a conservative firestorm to hold the media accountable, but it does. During the Gosnell trial, concerned Americans and citizen journalists used blogs emails, Facebook posts, and a ‘Twitterfest’ to call attention to a tragic story that should break our hearts. The public deserves to know the truth, but in this day and age in America, we must actively demand it from the media.

    A couple of things:

    1. I suspect that part of the reason for the blackout of the Gosnell affair is that it really does force the observer to confront the issue: What really is the essential difference between killing babies while still inside the womb and killing them only moments after they come out? If we wish for our laws to have logical consistency in respect to the abortion question, we have two choices: Either legalize post-natal infanticide, or declare that all human beings from conception onwards are legally entitled to a right to life. If this trial proves anything, I’d say it’s the glaring fact that we can no longer have it both ways.

    2. On media bias: I wouldn’t necessarily say that the media has a “liberal” or a “conservative” agenda. I consider MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News all part of the same cultural-brainwashing machine; they may differ in predicates, but are nonetheless all essentially part of the same tool utilized to debase the dignity of man. Let’s not forget that even many of the so-called “liberal” media outlets cheerleaded the build-up to the Iraq War ten years ago, just as they are now presenting a very one-sided picture of the very complicated situations in Syria and Iran. You might find the recent case of Amber Lyon, a former CNN journalist who has now come out saying that she and others were told by her former employer to only report items that depicted those regimes in a demonizing light: http://amberlyonlive.com/2012/10/07/amber-on-alex-jones/

Great points, I agree with you except it’s extremely difficult to compare MSNBC and FOX, with the exception of the cultural issue you cite. That said, America has no true conservative cable news channel. 50 years back, they’d have considered FOX moderate if not liberal, but at least they make an effort to present both sides of an issue while the other channels, including mainstream media, are practically Leftist propaganda cheerleaders. Thanks again for the comments and God bless you!

You know what would have stopped this terrible and horrific mess, if Kermit gosling new Jesus as his lord and savior, I’ll put this lovingly, I see all of you like Zacchaeus up a tree , trying to get a glimpse of Jesus , looking off afar, when Jesus is right there, right next to you telling you to come down from the tree and do what I have commanded you to do, Preach the Gospel to every thing, to every one, every where!
If Kermit had heard the Gospel when he was young or old and started to seek after Jesus and God drew him close , Kermit would have stopped and the abortion building would have shut down , if the Boston bombers would have heard the Gospel and turned to Jesus and God drew them to Him, there would have not been any bombing….Well you see what I am saying, all you writers, people of God you need to come down from your tree and get out in the street and tell people about Jesus, I know my bible says seek and save the lost, are you doing this? Or are you still up your tree?come down Dave and get out in the street and spread the good news, writing books to people who know what the problem is, is a trick of the devil he loves to start causes that distract you from the real business that needs to be done ,its simple, preach the Gospel! I love you Dave, prepare your self like Jeremiah and rise up and speak, I’m going to bay-beach and open air preach today and pass Gospel tracts out, I’m going to be with my daughter, would like your prays and support, if you would like to come FB me and I’ll tell you the time.

Thanks for taking the time to offer a loving rebuke, Scott. I’m thankful for your ministry and we are all called to be ambassadors for Christ, yes. However, our callings and ministry specifics and giftings can vary from one member in the body of Christ to the next. I’d evaluate your heart if you believe the rest of us are not doing the Lord’s work. I completely disagree with you that people know and understand the problem in America. We have turned away from God and sadly, those in the church already professing Christianity need to discern the times and stop conforming to culture. Are you following up with every person who accepts Christ and says the sinner’s prayer? The Church has lacked effective follow-up resulting in people thinking they have a ‘get out of Hell free’ card but never truly repent and change their lifestyle and follow hard after Jesus. Please keep doing the work of the Kingdom, but please take a moment and consider your judgment of those of us trying to reach and build up believers whom you say are ‘up in the tree.’The gospel is shared many times throughout my book, Eradicate, but my goal is to wake up the church, encourage and inform Christians. Please, brother, don’t think some of us are not serving God because we’re not out in a park or on the streets preaching to the lost. Many of those who sit in comfy pews and seats in churches across America are lost, lukewarm, or morally confused and don’t even know it. It’s called apathy. I was there and don’t ever want to go back.

Your Right , I was too quick to judge the holy spirit did convict me after I pushed send, but not before, so some of what I said did need to be heard, the holy spirit told me that the body has many parts and that we all have a different function, as for the follow up, men do not change people God dose ,We could run after them but time is short and I am called to preach and reach as many with the gospel as God gives me time, we are just hear to sow the seed and prepare the soil, we have nothing to do with it growing that’s Gods business. Every seed is dead that you plant in your garden and God brings them back to life and we water it and hope it can bring its roots deep, I know what you mean about the church, if the rapture came to day I know a lot of people would still be siting in the pews and seat wondering where every one went, a sad part is I think a lot of pastors will too. Thanks to the God of grace he waits for us all.
    Love you brother
    Scott
