The Unintended Power of One Supreme Court Seat

The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the threats are coming in – even before President Trump decided to select a Supreme Court nominee to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg who died last week. And since we know Joe Biden voters have proven themselves more than capable over the last six months of destroying people’s lives, businesses and cities, we know these are real threats.

CNN entertainer, Don Lemon said if Democrats win the presidency and take the U.S. Senate, “We’re going to have to blow up the entire system;”

Former CNN host Reza Aslan warned that if Republicans even try replacing RBG, “We burn the F-ing thing down.” Nancy Pelosi said Democrats have options and arrows while AOC said Republicans are playing with fire! This may not end well, but get the popcorn ready.

The left is desperate, but they may have overplayed their hand. Impeachment attempts, constant obstruction, hate spewing, stoking virus fear, business shut-downs, public lock downs, discrimination against Christians and churches, freedoms restricted, riots, vandalism, intimidation, and now – more threats.

Why? They know they cannot win on merit or their godless, socialist policies, so they’re willing to unleash their full fury on the country in order to force change and gain power.

Had they won in 2016, much damage from every 2020 “crisis” would not have taken place. But now they sense they’re even further away from their goal of a socialist utopia including one nation – without God. The devil knows his time is short and so do his minions. Globalism is the goal and America is the prize.

So how important is a Supreme Court appointment?

In the 1947 case, Everson v. Board of Education, the Supreme Court created the idea of the lie we practically live by today: the separation of church and state. They disregarded history and legal tradition and wrongly declared:

“The First Amendment has erected a wall between church and state. That wall must be kept high and impregnable. We could not approve the slightest breach.”

The legislative branch used to be the only lawmaking branch – as intended – but not anymore. With three committed liberal justices and a wild card in Justice John Roberts, one court appointment matters tremendously.

America was fine for one hundred and fifty years before they invented this wall in 1947 empowering federal courts to restrict religious activities and Christian influence in the public square! The false concept of freedom from religion had emerged which was completely the opposite of what our founders intended.

Referring to the Supreme Court, Thomas Jefferson wrote the following in 1820, exactly two hundred years ago:

“You seem… to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions: a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one in which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy… Their power is more dangerous as they are in office for life and not responsible, as the other functionaries are to elective control.”

Today, too many church leaders and millions of professing Christians refuse to speak about social, cultural, and political issues. By conforming to secular culture and not holding our government and media accountable – along with the damage a body of nine justices have caused, American Christianity has lost much power and influence.

If you think I’m exaggerating, let’s take a quick look at a few more decisions where liberal justices had the majority opinion in Supreme Court cases:

1962: Engel v. Vitale – removed prayer to the one true God from government-controlled public schools.
1963: Abington School District v. Schempp –
removed voluntary reading of the Bible from public schools.
1973: Roe v. Wade –
‘legalized’ the murder of pre-born babies.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg endorsed the slaughter of human life in the womb and this pivotal seat may be about the violent act of abortion more than any other issue. Big abortion business is a Democrat cash cow.

1980: Stone v. Graham – removed the Ten Commandments from public school walls.
2015: Obergefell v. Hodges – “
legalizated” the sin of homosexuality and same-sex “marriage.”
2020: Bostock v. Clayton County –
expanded gay and transgender rights.

Elections have consequences – and so do Supreme Court nominations.

So how did we get here? Doesn’t the free exercise of religion mean we have, under the United States Constitution, the right in our families and in our schools, our communities, governments and states to live according to the Word of God and our consciences?

How did the ACLU win so many victories in a predominantly Christian nation? Aren’t they supposed to be defending the freedoms and rights of all Americans?

For a quick peek into the anti-Christian ACLU founded by Roger Baldwin in 1920 and for a better understanding of its worldview, we need to know Baldwin was agnostic and a socialist. He was given the Medal of Freedom in 1981 from President Jimmy Carter.

One of Baldwin’s friends was racist and eugenicist Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Links between the ACLU and big abortion go way back so this truly is a worldview issue. Literally life and death.

Roger Baldwin once declared:

“I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”

The ACLU is working toward a secularized America, sanitized from the Judeo-Christian religion and biblical morality. The left seeks a country in which religious speech is not only silenced but punished. Now do you get it?

With vast resources including hundreds of millions of dollars, plus millions more in donations from ACLU members such as Progressive Insurance chairman and leftist, Peter B. Lewis, the ACLU has been waging war on America for more than 80 years.

They learned how to use the courts to enforce a godless, radical agenda. In recent years, we’ve seen lawsuits filed by activists to bully Christian employees and business owners because they chose not to participate in the LGBT revolution.

This brings us back to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. According to reports, both she and Justice Elena Kagan presided over same-sex wedding ceremonies prior to deciding the 2015 case to redefine God-ordained, natural marriage. With such liberal biases being public knowledge, many believe they should have recused themselves.

Now, President Trump has the duty to nominate someone to fill the Court vacancy. Apparently in our history, a president has nominated a Supreme Court Justice 29 times in election years.

Texas Senator, Ted Cruz has a brand new book: “One Vote Away: How a Single Supreme Court Seat Can Change History.” When conservative Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead in a West Texas hunting lodge, filling his seat on the Supreme Court became a central issue in the 2016 presidential election.

During a recent interview with Democrat operative, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Cruz said:

“We’re one vote away from seeing our religious liberty rights stripped away, from our free speech stripped away, from our Second Amendment stripped away,” … This election matters, and I think it is the most important issue in 2020, electing presidents and a Senate who will nominate and confirm strong constitutionalists to the court.”

Enemies of the Lord Jesus Christ have steadily gained ground. Globalists were lusting for power – and then along came Donald Trump and their plans were temporarily thwarted. But there’s another election in a matter of weeks, and some states already have early voting.

We must not allow the left to shut down America and trash this great nation.

In a 2004 speech in Dallas entitled, “The Final Moments of Crisis,” author and former ambassador, Alan Keyes declared:

“I don’t believe for one instant that America ends up as some mediocrity in history. We are either going to be a commanding power for great good, as we have been, or a commanding power for great evil, as we must become if we do not succeed in mobilizing those communities who mean to stand for truth, and against those who have declared war upon God in our public life.”

Wake up, Christian friends, and rally the remnant of true believers, those who live and vote what the Bible teaches. The conflict for the soul of America has reached a boiling point – and Christians must vote in elections! Souls, truth, liberty, and righteousness are on the line. And by the way, your children are watching.

Our freedoms won’t last much longer if the majority of Christians stay home and remain casual observers and spectators. Yes, God is sovereign, but His word also tells us it’s time for us to wake up because “salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.”

The Lord is just, and things won’t end well for those in rebellion against the only true, living God. The Book of Isaiah states:

For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,
The Lord is our king;
He will save us—
(Isaiah 33:22)

But for now, we are here at this time according to God’s will, for His purposes, and every one of us must do our part.
